Connecting External SCSI Devices to Micro Webserver
Connecting Additional SCSI Drives to Micro Webserver
Micro Webserver is capable of reading and writing
to devices with a valid, non-conflicting SCSI ID number. To connect additional
devices:
- Power off the Micro Webserver.
- Switch SW1 on the rear panel to the down position.
- Connect a SCSI cable to the SCSI cable port located on the rear panel
of the Micro Webserver unit.
- Attach the cable to your first SCSI CD-ROM drive. The last drive in
the string requires a singled-ended SCSI terminator unless it is internally
terminated.
- Set the SCSI ID of the external devices.
- Power on the Micro Webserver.
Setting the SCSI Device Drive IDs
Micro Webserver is the initiator in the SCSI string
and uses ID-7. One to five SCSI CD-ROM drives are supported and they can
be set as ID-0 or ID-2 through ID-6 (not ID-1 or ID-7) in any order
in the string. Additionally, a SCSI drive of up to 1.2 GB can be accessed.
You are ready to use Micro Webserver. Refer to the
chapter "Configuring Micro Webserver"
to complete the configuration process.
